BCANY Is About Service.
The Basketball Coaches Association of New York is a SERVICE, Advocacy and Professional Development organization. Basketball coaches in New York State have always been generous with their time and creativity in providing service to their communities. In order to facilitate the many various forms of service, we have organized the BCANY Service Movement.
We would like to know of service initiatives performed by you and your team. The size and scope of the effort does not matter. Share what you do as it might inspire others.

Mohonasen Coach Paul Brosious and Columbia Coach Kathleen Smith led the effort for Samaritan’s Feet in a recent game. An announcement was made at the beginning of the game, explaining the whole barefoot program and how to text to donate (the flyers were passed out during this). There was a video of Samaritan’s Feet playing on a big screen in the hallway (by the concession stand) for the spectators to view pre-game and at halftime.
