The following was written about this team: The foundation of this team began with intensity, determination, and teamwork. Through their confident attitude and willingness to sacrifice to compete at a higher level these young ladies achieved their goals. Their desire to win and faith in each other created the team ego. This squad believed that relentless defense would demonstrate their heart and pride. They committed themselves to attain success by doing the little things and working hard.

LaSalle’s defensive leaders, Winn, Crymes and Rich limited opponents in 27 games to an average of 54 points. Key team members included Tim Winn, Jody Crymes, Terry Rich, Rod Gayle and Carlos Davis. The Staff at Glenns Falls have said that this was the quickest defensive team they had ever seen at the States and that the 1994-1995 team was the most fun to watch.

Such a record is something of an achievement for any young mentor particularly one serving in his first year in a coaching capacity. St. Aloysius was one of thirty-two teams (“prep quintets”) to be invited to compete for the National Catholic Interscholastic basketball championships to be played at Loyola University in Chicago. However they had to turn down the invitation. Catholic schools in the Syracuse diocese are prohibited from engaging in athletic competition during the Lenten period.
